PENTAX LAUNCHES SAIL AWAY PROMOTION

TO PROMOTE BINOCULAR LINE:

GRAND PRIZE PANAMA CANAL & COSTA RICA CRUISE TO BE AWARDED

(March 3, 2008)…PENTAX Imaging Company has launched the PENTAX Sail Away Program to introduce consumers to select models of binoculars.  From now until May 31, 2008, any customer who participates in a PENTAX binocular demonstration will qualify to enter the PENTAX Sail Away Sweepstakes for a chance to win a Cruise West cruise for two from Costa Rica through the Panama Canal or PENTAX products.  A binocular demonstration consists of visiting a participating retailer and asking for a hands-on demonstration of one of the binocular models or viewing a binocular product video available on-line. Consumers may enter the Sail Away Sweepstakes at www.PentaxSailAway.com.

     Hosted by Cruise West (www.cruisewest.com), winners will board the 100-guest Pacific Explorer and experience remote jungles, pristine beaches, native villages and abundant wildlife including over 850 bird species.  Cruise destinations include Manuel Antonio National Park, the San Blas Islands, Caletas Beach, and Golfo Dulce. Some of the more noteworthy birds in the region include Bright-Billed Toucans, the Quetzal, the Scarlet Macaw and a variety of hummingbirds including the Green-Crowned Brilliant, the Purple-Throated Mountain Gem, and the beautiful Fiery-Throated Hummingbird.  Winners will enjoy guided tours of birding locales and seminars provided by Audubon-certified experts including famed Audubon photographer Roy Toft.
